Following the best December figures in history, the motor vehicle market closed the year 2004 with a total of 1,517,518 new car sales in Spain, up 9.8 per cent on 2003.
This means that the Spanish market is currently the most active in Europe, although forecasts warn that this year’s results will be slightly lower, with predicted sales of 1,450,000 cars.
In Andalucía car sales increased last year by 12.97 per cent. The most popular car in 2004 was the Renault Mégane, followed by the Ford Focus and the Citroën Xsara.
