Malaga's Carlos Haya Hospital is to keep its name, the Junta de Andalucía’s health councillor has announced and the plan for a name change will affect the Carlos Haya complex, and not the general hospital itself.
A meeting of the Malaga Health Council last October approved changing the name to Blas Infante. Councillor, Maria Jesus Montero, has announced that the regional government has plans to invest 38 million euros in the hospital complex by the year 2010.
The funding will be spent on improvements to infrastructure and equipment.
