Pilgrim brotherhoods make their way to El Rocío
The majority of the 103 El Rocío Brotherhoods have already arrived at the village ahead of this weekend´s annual festival which will be enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people from all over Spain.
More brotherhoods are expected tomorrow morning when they will have to formally present themselves to the Matriz de Almonte Brotherhood at the doors of the El Rocío hermitage.
The highlight of festival will take place during the early hours of Monday morning with the procession of the Virgin, carried on the shoulders of the men from Almonte, through the streets of the village.
