Vélez-Málaga now owns the most modern tram in Spain and will put it into service between Vélez and Torre del Mar next February.
The first of the two vehicles which will cover the route arrived on Wednesday night, by road, and was introduced to the public yesterday.
A “bendy” tram with five carriages, it has capacity for 54 seated passengers and another 148 standing, and reaches a maximum speed of 70 kilometres per hour.
