The high temperatures of recent days and the lack of rain have resulted in an increase in pollen and a start to the hayfever season for many.
Forecasters say pollen counts are set to soar locally.
Across the province an estimated 300,000 people are affected by the condition.
Local doctors and health centres are also reporting a jump in the number of cases of pharyngitis.
