Hippoland, the Bulgarian children's toys and accessories retailer, said it will launch a store in Varna, on the Black Sea, by the end of May. The company invested 200,000 levs in the 800,000 sq m outlet which is located in the Piccadilly-Praktiker West shopping center. Hippoland already operates a store in Plovdiv and has scheduled 2 store launches in Sofia for '06. Comsed, the other major Bulgarian toy retailer, opened a 1.5 mln lev store in Sofia in '04. Greek toy retailer Jumbo is due to launch its first Bulgarian store in '07.
