On Sunday 2 April Malaga Sport will host the city’s 16th annual half marathon. Organizers anticipate over 2,000 runners participating in the 21.5 kilometre race.
The race covers a route that runs primarily along the bay with checkpoints in Merkamueble, Avda. Santa Rosa de Lima and an ending point at Ciudad Deportiva de Carranque.
There will be runners from Malaga and other parts of Andalucia as well as runners from other countries including England, Finland, Germany, Holland, Kenya and Morocco.
Local athletes taking part include Miguel Torralvo, Rafael Romero, Augustin Molina and the current world veteran champion, Juan Vazquez.
