As I write, rain has been pouring non stop for the past 12 hours here in southern Spain; but I am always reminded when it rains how cleansing and nourishing it can be, and that whatever the grey and cloud, the sun is still up there shining down. In life, when we think love is lacking or God isn’t there, like the sun, they always are, regardless of what we’re weathering.
Pursuing your life’s purpose
We can seldom be at peace when we are not following our life’s purpose. And often we stop ourselves by looking for a purpose other than that which at present is right under our nose; and sometimes we put up all sorts of “reasons” for why we cannot follow our purpose even when we do know it. “I’m not good enough?” “Who is little old me to do that?” “Whatever will people think of me?” And lots of financial fears raise their sinister heads.
"Can I afford to pursue my life purpose?" a man in a well-paid job recently asked me.
"You can't afford not to!" I replied.
What his question was really asking was: "Is it okay for me to leave a job that I don't like, in pursuit of employment which makes my heart sing but financially may pay less?" He was also really asking, "How can I move forward without knowing I will still be financially secure?" and "Can I really give myself permission to pursue my dreams?" “Is it okay to have fun and joy?
These questions took me back to my youth and some of the “rules” I picked up - an old energy which says we must suffer and struggle in order to have our needs met, who are we to deserve, better the devil we know, everyone dislikes their job, don’t they?
But have you ever thought that we've evolved to the stage where anything that's not of Love won't work. If you're hanging onto ANY situation that isn't love-based, you must either heal it or leave it. If you don't, it will leave you. Those who don't like their jobs, will soon lose those jobs. Unbalanced relationships will fall away. It's the law in the new energy and I am seeing it play out in my own life as work situations change, relationships end, and things evolve.
I know it’s not time for Spring cleaning but it may be worth starting one now, in
every area of your life. Why wait till Spring? Let go of all the physical and mental clutter, unhelpful rules and beliefs that no longer serve you. Release anything that's not serving your highest and best good. And if it’s in the land of thought, it's best to write what you don't want, and then burn that piece of paper ceremoniously.
This may be a good time to do anything that begins with the prefix, "Re" such as: release, redecorate, recycle, renew, rethink, rework, rewrite, and refresh. Take an inventory of your life and decide what you'd like to change. Ask Heaven for guidance on what changes to make in your life. Finish a project or anything that is unfinished. Donate unwanted items. Plan to do this especially if you have thanksgiving or Christmas gifts you no longer need. Rearrange your furniture.
Whatever your purpose, whatever you dream you desire to have, ensure you are not putting things off until an undue season. There are two components to manifestation, creating what you desire: releasing and receiving. This is the time to release in preparation of receiving. If your hands are full with unwanted activities or possessions, you need to make room for the new. If you don't love it, let it go!
Jesus said, in John 10:10, (my translation) Negative energies (the devil) come only to steal and to kill and to destroy and rob you of joy; I come that you will have life, and life in all abundance. Now I think it matters not that you adhere to the Christian or any other faith. I think this is a reminder that living our life's purpose is the route to prosperity on all levels. Prosperity means an abundant flow of joy, energy, health, love, time, and support. When you love your work, you'll naturally spend more time with it. You'll have more creative ideas. And your joy will attract wonderful opportunities.
The angels are constantly receiving support from Heaven. Be like the angels and accept the gifts of the universe, as you also accept your Divine assignments. These assignments are signalled to you through joy, excitement, and peace. Avoid anything that is life draining.
It's safe for you to be happy. It's safe for you to release whatever's not working in your life. Don't spend one moment worrying about HOW your life will be healed. Just give it to God and the angels, and TRUST in the infinite wisdom and intelligence which is one with your own Divine mind.
Every day find at least ONE opportunity to practise a random act of unconditional kindness. For it is in giving that we receive.
The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose.
