Spain reprieves ageing plant in sign of rethink (Financial Times)

Spains Socialist government, yielding to intense pressure from electricity companies, local authorities and employees at risk of redundancy, yesterday granted a four-year reprieve to the countrys oldest commercial nuclear power plant despite an election promise to start winding down the nuclear industry.
