Three firms have expressed an interest in buying the Tivoli World amusement park in Arroyo de la Miel and, according to sources, talks continue with two groups, the Córdoba developers Arenal 2000 and a Madrid firm directed by Andrés Moral Alcántara. No official offer for the park has been made but its value has been estimated at around 90 million euros. The same sources close to the negotiations say that talks are at an advanced stage and that the sale would not mean the park’s closure but rather its extension and modernisation. Meanwhile the official story from the Tivoli management is that there is no intention to sell but “we would be prepared to listen to any interesting offer”.
